This highly informative one-day seminar will give you a better understanding of UL, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and Personal Protective Equipment. This seminar will also provide an overview of NFPA 1999-2013 as well as explain medical exam glove testing, noncompliance issues, and medical exam glove requirements in great detail. In the end you will have a better understanding of UL’s testing practices as well as NFPA 1999-2013 testing requirements for medical exam gloves.
Robert Glover is a Senior Project Engineer with Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL), USA for the past 16 years. He has many years’ experience in Personal Flotation Devices and Personal Protective Equipment (which includes exam gloves) industries.
Robert has been creating test programs based upon product review and applicable Standards. He has vast experience in working with customers to understand needs and requirements; evaluating failures to better customer understanding as well as witnessing the test of various product categories.
Robert was appointed as Safety Advisor for FIRST Robotics competitions by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Besides that, he had completed training for Green Belt certification.
He also currently works as a Lead Test Engineer for safety eyewear and fill stations (SCBA & SCUBA).
Robert graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics. He also earned an Associate’s degree for college transfer with emphasis in Physics and Chemistry from Wake Technical Community College.
